Maryland Psychological Association Graduate Students (MPAGS) is the graduate student arm of the Maryland Psychological Association (MPA). It is an organization oriented toward unifying graduate students throughout Maryland. MPAGS is dedicated to supporting fellow students in their collective development as leaders and advocates for the field of psychology.
MPAGS strives to enhance the professional development of graduate students of psychology by providing opportunities in leadership, networking, research, advocacy, and scholarships.
The graduate student organization (MPAGS), a division of the Maryland Psychological Association (MPA), serves the following functions:
- Continue the professional development of graduate psychology students by hosting a variety of events and creating a formal structure for communicating and networking with students in the state
- Provide a platform for students to discuss training issues and goals
- Maintain a flow of information about the many important resources and services for aspiring psychologists offered by MPA
Current initiatives: Current initiatives for MPAGS in the 2019-2020 year include expanding our membership base, increasing the number of events offered to graduate students and creating more opportunities for graduate students to participate in advocacy.
