This workshop aims to educate participants on the clinical, business, and practical issues which must be considered in drafting a professional will and naming a Practice Executor. Training is also provided on how to fulfill this role for another. Compassionate and ethical transfer of care for patients is outlined. The speaker's first hand experiences of grief and responsibility will be used to consider the ways in which a colleague's incapacitation and the duty to the colleague and to her patients may impact the Executor role. REGISTERRobyn Miller, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist in private practice in Bethesda, Maryland since 2002. Degrees include Ph.D., and M.A., in clinical psychology from the University of Rochester, and B.A. in child study from Tufts University. She completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in college mental health at the Harvard University Health Service, in Cambridge, MA. Her predoctoral internship was at Harvard Medical School/ Massachusetts Mental Health Center, in Boston. She has supervised the psychotherapy of psychology graduate students at George Washington University and has taught workshops on the treatment of eating disorders and self-harm behavior to psychotherapy interns at American University and Catholic University. Currently she is establishing an educational and therapeutic group program by bringing together multidisciplinary experts to address the Menopause life transition.
